#SFB480 Interview with Bob Harris

#SFB480 Interview with Bob Harris

The Scott Fish Bowl commences on July 11th. We asked Zach Law to interview some of the participants about the experience. Today’s subject: Bob Harris — Football Diehards senior editor.

1. Can you give me a two-sentence introduction to your fantasy football “personna”? Include your Twitter handle.

I’m Bob Harris, senior editor at FootballDiehards.com and co-host of the FootballDiehards on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio. I was the FSWA’s first-ever Writer of the Year and I was inducted in the organization’s Hall of Fame in 2013. Follow me on the Twitters @footballdiehard.

2. Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I’m just trying not to look like an ass.

3. Do you have a strategy already set up for the draft or do you let the board fall to you?

I try to be flexible. This seems like a year that going with a Zero-RB approach can work, but in ultra-competitive leagues like this, keeping an open mind will be more important than usual.

4. If you got to pick your draft slot, what would you take and why?

I’ve had the most luck this season drafting from the final spot — especially in 12-team leagues like this. Look, I wouldn’t mind the first overall. Or even anywhere in the top three. Beyond that, the later the better.

5. If you could select four people in the Scott Fish Bowl (#SFB480) to have either a beer or dinner with, who would it be?

Scarlett Johansson, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence and Mila Kunis. What? Oh. … You mean competitors? Well. … I’m a hermit who doesn’t drink. In all seriousness, I’ve actually had dinner with a number of these folks and enjoyed it immensely. That being the case, I want to take everybody out. Dinner’s on Fish, right?

6. What’s one non-fantasy football related interest you have that would surprise the rest of the SFB?

I play drums. It’s something I’ve done for more than 40 years. It’s fun, can be challenging and is rather therapeutic.
